The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) website recently posted a revised version of the 4506-T form, with an effective date of June 2019. However, DocMagic is postponing a change to the revised version, pending further information from the IRS and our Income Verification Express Services (IVES) partners.
The revised form removes Line 5a which covers mailing the tax transcript to third parties, and replaces the “Caution” statement after Line 5 with the following: “Note: Effective July 2019, the IRS will mail tax transcript requests only to your address of record. See What’s New under Future Developments on Page 2 for additional information.”
Our IVES partners have advised that the March 2019 version of the form should continue to be used by IVES participants. DocMagic will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available. Should you have any questions, please contact DocMagic, Inc.’s Compliance Department.
