Update to Provide Spanish Language Forms

Beginning on September 12, 2024, DocMagic will be adding all available Spanish language forms to return in packages, along with the English versions of the forms they translate, when clients pass a Spanish language indicator in their loan data.

Currently DocMagic only provides individual Spanish language forms upon request.  Since Spanish language forms have come into more frequent use, we will now include all available form translations by default to clients that are using the Spanish forms by providing us the Spanish language indicator (which note is different from the language preference for a borrower for purposes of the Supplemental Consumer Information Form). If a client wishes to exclude any of the forms, they can be removed from an account upon request.

This change will facilitate easier use of translated forms by our clients.  As new Spanish model form translations become available, clients will no longer have to request for individual forms to be added to their account, as they will be provided automatically when the English version of the form is provided in a package and the Spanish language indicator is present.

DocMagic fully supports all Spanish translated versions of Uniform Instruments, which are available on Fannie Mae’s Multi-Language Resource for Lenders webpage and the Freddie Mac Mortgage Resource Documents webpage. The translations are provided for reference only and are non-executable. The Spanish translation of each component of the Uniform Residential Loan Application (“URLA”) is also supported, and can be viewed on the Federal Housing Finance Agency’s Mortgage Translation webpage.

Additionally, DocMagic supports numerous state-specific model forms and/or disclosures that have been provided in Spanish by the respective state regulatory agencies.

DocMagic will make an updated list of current Spanish language translations prior to the September implementation date.
