Since the DocMagic release of new versions of conventional uniform instruments on August 12, 2022, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (“GSEs”) have announced updates to the security instruments for the states of New York, Delaware, Washington, and Texas.
- Delaware (Form 3008) was updated by the GSEs to correct a typographical error in Section 17. The revision date of the form was changed to 07/2021 (rev. 08/22). This change was effective in DocMagic on September 9, 2022.
- Washington (Form 3048) Section 15(b), (ii) was updated by the GSEs to read as “property inspection and valuation fees” instead of “property inspection, and valuation.” The revision date of the form was changed to 07/21 (09/22). This change will be effective in DocMagic on October 6, 2022.
- Texas (Form 3044.1) Home Equity instructions were updated to revise a MERS-related authorized change in 4(a). The update adds a new sentence to the MERS version under the Lender definition. The update will be effective in DocMagic on October 13, 2022.
- New York (Form 3033) instructions were changed to revise authorized change #7. The word “alter” has been changed to “amend” in language that applies for leasehold estates. This change will be available in DocMagic on October 13, 2022.
